What Does This Mean to You?
Because of the nursing shortage, RN staffing levels are inadequate
at many health care facilities. Nurses are caring for significantly
more patients per day than they were a few years ago. 69% of nurses
surveyed by the American Nurses Association cited inadequate staffing
as a major factor in the declining quality of health care. As
a result, you or a family member may not be getting the care you
deserve when you require medical attention.
You Can Help
One of the reasons given for the declining enrollment in nursing
schools is the high cost of obtaining a nursing degree. Many dedicated
individuals with the desire to enter the nursing profession do
not have the financial means to pursue their education. The Paying
Forward Foundation is establishing scholarship funds at colleges
and universities that will provide financial assistance to highly
qualified students who are studying to become nurses or nurse
practitioners. We need your help.
